9.1 How to enter a Stand Alone Insurance Policy

If you have sold an Insurance/Warranty Product without doing a loan you are able to capture this information in the Insurance section which can be found on the side menu.

Click and a new screen will load. Once it opens you will see a list of policies that have already been entered. To create a new policy click the button on the right side of the screen.

When new screen opens there will be 5 tabs running down the left:

Driver1

Application Details

Asset Details

Insurance Details

Documents

The Driver1 tab is where you add in details of the driver that you sold the policy to:

Client Name*

Gender

Marital Status

Date of Birth*

Number of Dependents and their Ages

Contact Details

Address*

You will also need to answers question on the drivers driving history, accident history and criminal history.

The next tab is the Application Details tab. On this tab enter in:

Settlement Date (cannot be backdated)

Recent Insurer

Region*

Policy Writer (broker that sold the policy)

The next tab is Asset Details tab. On this tab enter in:

Build Year*

Make*

Model*

Variant*

Series*

Body*

Vehicle Type*

Cost Price*

Trade In/Cashback/Deposit

Transmission*

Engine Capacity

Fuel Type

Address Kept Overnight*

Vehicle Value*

Usage*

The next tab is the Insurance Details. This tab is where you enter in the policy that you have sold. This tab works like the Products tab in an application. Enter in:

Product Category*

Supplier*

Product Name*

Term

Premium

Commissions (Excl. GST)

Policy Number

The last tab is the documents tabs. This tab works the same as the Documents tab in an application. This is where documents relating to the policy are saved.

Once all of these details are entered click the save icov, , you will be taken back to the Insurance list page.

To go back into the app click on the app number and the application will open back up.

The next step is to settle the deal. Firstly go to the Application Details page and enter in a Settlement Date if you have not already done so. The click on the drop down box next to the Policy Status and select Settled then click the save. You will be taken back to the Stand Alone list and will see that the deal is settled.

NB: The Settlement Date cannot be backdated.
