It is important to use the correct format when uploading leads from a spreadsheet into Horizon2 for multiple reasons. The data in Horizon2 will only be as good as the spreadsheet. If some information is not in the right format Horizon2 will have blank fields and for phone number will be added to the comments section instead of the mobile field.
Let’s break down the 3 leads below to see how they upload into Horizon2.
Lead Sam Brown
This lead is formatted correctly. The mobile number is entered in the correct format. The cell in excel has been formatted to Text. Doing this will allow you to but the 0 in front of the number. The number also has no spaces which is consistent with the field in Horizon2.
This lead will import like this into Horizon2:
Lead Mary Smith
This lead is not formatted correctly. The issue is the phone number. The number has spaces and the cell is formatted to General and not Text.
The phone number with spaces is inconsistent with the format accepted by Horizon2. This means the number cannot upload into the correct field. Instead the phone number will become a note in the comments section.
Lead Barry
The lead for Barry has a few issues. Firstly, the First Name field is empty, and the first name appears in the Last Name Field. Secondly, the mobile number is in the incorrect format. Whilst the cell is formatted to text the number itself has +61 on front which is not a compatible format for Horizon2
When a lead like this is uploaded into Horizon2 the First Name field will remain empty, replicating the spreadsheet. The name Barry will appear in the Last Name field. The mobile number will appear in the comments section as a note.
