Cloning Applications May 2026

Written by OXCEL AI

What is the Cloning feature within Infynity

The cloning feature within Infynity enables you to copy an existing SOCA document to use for the next application. This cloning feature can be handy when for eg:

• you need to quickly convert the previous application to send to lender B because lender A declined that application

• you need to make some changes to the previous SOCA application (and a SOCA short form is not acceptable)

Cloning the SOCA within Infynity

• If you need to update any personal or financial information, update those tabs in Infynity before generating the new cloned SOCA for signing

• Use the cloning feature to copy your previous SOCA within Infynity, it will create a copy of the previous SOCA, enabling you to make appropriate changes within the SOCA

• Any cloned SOCA will generate a new Lender application portal for the new loan

submission

Cloning the Loan Application within ApplyOnline (AOL)

Cloning a loan application within ApplyOnline typically refers to the process of duplicating an

existing loan application to streamline the application process for similar loans for your client.

BEFORE YOU CLONE ANY LOAN APPLICATION WITHIN AOL, MAKE SURE THAT ANY CHANGES TO THE SOCA HAVE BEEN MADE AND THE SOCA HAS BEEN RESIGNED BY THE CLIENTS AS REQUIRED AND UPLOADED INTO THE INFYNITY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TAB.

THIS IS A COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENT FOR THE SOCA TO BE SIGNED AND UPLOADED BEFORE ANY LOAN IS SUBMITTED TO THE LENDER.

NOTE: Cloned applications in AOL cannot be directly linked back into Infynity to your existing client.

Here's a general outline of how you might clone a loan application in ApplyOnline:

1. Locate the Original Application: First, you need to find the existing application that you want to clone. This usually involves going back into Infynity and clicking on the NextGen tab within Infynity for that last submission. Open the existing application and NextGen will open in the previously completed application.

2. Select the Clone Option: Within the AOL application interface, you will find the “clone” feature within the right toolbar under the “actions” tab.

3. Modify the Cloned Application: Once cloned, you can modify the new application as needed. This could involve updating applicant details, loan amounts, terms, or other relevant information specific to the new application.

4. Review and Submit: After making the necessary changes, review the cloned application to ensure all details are correct. Ensure the SOCA document has been signed and uploaded into the Infynity supporting documents tab. Once satisfied, submit the cloned application for processing to the lender as normal.

5. Follow Up: Record the new cloned application ApplyOnline ID number. Track the

progress of the cloned application manually, to ensure it proceeds through the necessary checks and approvals with the Lender. Manual follow up is required, as you will not be able to receive lender back channel messages back into Infynity as the cloned application is not linked back to your client.

6. Viewing a Cloned Application in AOL: You can only access and view the cloned application in AOL. Within Infynity click the NextGen button (for the previous application), click on the top left NextGen logo and search your applications by typing the cloned application ID in the search bar.

Cloning applications can save time and reduce errors by reusing information from previous applications, especially if you're processing multiple loans for the same client or similar loan types. However, always ensure that the cloned application is thoroughly reviewed to avoid any incorrect information being carried over from the original application.

Keeping Notes on File

Keeping notes on the Infynity client file is important to serve as valuable reference on the actions completed. For cloned applications, record the cloned ID number and confirm the process that was undertaken as part of the cloned application. Good notes help our compliance team understand the steps you have taken when they are reviewing your cloned application.
